tatanka100logoRide The Bull… The Tatanka 100

Two weeks ago N.U.E. series racers were “treated” to three laps of dusty Michigan singletrack at the Lumberjack 100. This week racers head to the scenic Black Hills of Sturgis, South Dakota where the Tatanka 100 will take racers on one 100+ mile grand loop that features over 60 miles of singletrack, 40+ miles of double track, service roads and rail-trails and includes over 12,000 feet of elevation gain at an average elevation of 4,800′ above sea level (4,000+ feet higher than racers found themselves at the Lumberjack). MTB 24 Hours of Rome

Here is an event for all of XXC’s Euro readers and International traveling types– The MTB 24hours of Rome. This event came across my digital desktop this morning and I felt  the need to share it based on a few things:

  • It’s a mountain bike race, (and that’s sort of what XXC is all about).
  • It takes place in what may be the most historic city on earth.
  • There is a pre-race Toga Bike Party with music, pasta and wine (it didn’t say “wine,” I am just assuming that’s what “fun” means).
  • I figure since the Italian’s gave me the joys of one of the simplest and most delicious meals ever (Cacio e Pepe), the least I can do is share some info about, what looks to be, a cool race in an incredible venue.

Check out all the information on the press release sent to us below:
