BMC Switzerland and Stan’s NoTubes Join Trans-Sylvania Epic’s Outdoor Experience Organization in the “Raffle For PA Trails.”
Support PA trail creation and enhancement and win entry to the 2014 TSEpic and a 2014 BMC!
Harrisburg, PA – BMC Switzerland is teaming with the Outdoor Experience Organization non-profit, the organization behind the NoTubes Trans-Sylvania Epic (TSEpic) presented by Dirt Rag to raise money for Pennsylvania trail construction by offering mountain bikers a chance to win a 2014 BMC bike and entry to the 2014 TSEpic.
“We’re thrilled to be part of this effort,” says Devin Riley, Director of Marketing at BMC Switzerland. “ We’re supporting a fantastic racing and experiential event in the Trans-Sylvania Epic that is loved by everyone who does it. That the event helps create top quality mountain biking trails ties in directly with our passion of the sport. We know it’s equally important to have great terrain to cross and access to those trails as it is to have a nice bike to ride.” NoTubes’ marketing director Rich O’Neil offered, “We’ve been part of the Pennsylvania mountain biking scene for a long time and are proud to partner with the Outdoor Experience Organization and TSE. Everyone who rides and everyone in the industry can benefit from this sort of effort. Who doesn’t want more great places to ride more great bikes?”
Formed as the backbone and reason for the TSEpic, the OEO was established to create and enhance recreational trails throughout Pennsylvania. The OEO contributed close to $10,000 in financial support to trails organizations in the state and over 1000 man hours of trail maintenance and construction over the first three years of its existence. The goal in this, the fourth year of the OEO, is to more than match that financial contribution to PA multi-use trails by the end of 2013 and grow from there. Funds will be directed to various organizations and projects across Pennsylvania including a “trail tools” grant program for clubs to be introduced in the near future. Of course, a portion will be dedicated to the efforts of the Nittany Mountain Biking Association and Seven Mountains Conservation Corps, which have been key to the vast singletrack network in the Rothrock and Bald Eagle State Forests, the home of Trans-Sylvania.
“We’re very happy to be where we are with TSE, but the purpose behind the Trans-Sylvania Epic and the reason we started it, besides being a fantastic mountain bike vacation and a fun and challenging event, is to be a driving force for trails in Pennsylvania,” says OEO President, Mike Kuhn. “We love this sport and love riding the incredible trails in PA. We are dedicated to contributing significantly to trail creation across the state. The TSEpic is continuing to grow and a every entry into the event puts more money into PA trails. With the support of BMC and NoTubes and our “Raffle for PA Trails” we’re confident we can meet or exceed our goal of raising $10,000 for trails this year, and every year going forward.”
On December 1, 2013 entry to the 2014 TSEpic (May 25-31, 2014) and a 2014 TSEpic.com team level BMC mountain bike upgraded with NoTubes wheels will be raffled off to one lucky winner. All proceeds from ticket sales will be invested into PA trails. Tickets can be found by contacting the Outdoor Experience Org – outdoorexperienceorg.com or Trans-Sylvania Epic tsepic.com, as well as via the traveling NoTubes TSEpic Team at events including: US National XC Championships, Bear Creek Ski Resort, Macungie, PA; The Rattling Off-Road Weekend in Lykens, PA; Iron Cross, North America’s Original Ultracross, Wilderness 101 and more!
